Hunt Story
I have been hunting this deer since bow season when he started making sign. I went ever evening and morning that I could. I never got to see him in bow season. Then the Monday before I killed him I got off work around 5:30 and it was raining and I had to try him. Got to my stand about 6, and he came out bout 30 minutes before dark, and I got in a hurry and missed him (I about cried). The rest of that week I was out every evening and nothing. I thought I missed my chance at him. Then the Friday before I killed him I found fresh pawing, so I hunted there; nothing that evening. I left my stand to hunt it Saturday morning. I got to my stand that next morning at 4 in the morning so I would not scare him. About an hour before daylight, I had deer running all around me. When it got daylight, there was nothing. It was a full moon, so I thought they wouldn't move again until later in the day. Then around 8:30 had a decent 7-point come running by with his nose to the ground. I never saw a doe. Guess she came by before light. About 15 minutes later I caught movement and looked over, and there he was running the same way the 7-point went. He had his nose on ground. I grunted and hollered at him, and he stopped atabout 60 yards, and I put it on his shoulder and down he went. I was tore up that I got another chance at him after I missed Monday
