Hunt Story
My biggest deer on camera disappeared October 13th. Saw him once again on October 31st and then he was gone for good. This deer showed up for the first time on camera November 5th. In the early morning hours of November 7th I caught him on two cameras heading in the same direction with no pictures to follow the rest of the morning. Around 1 pm my daughter and I set up a quick ground blind in the area where I saw him traveling. That evening he came out of the ticket and into the field I was overlooking. I let him get about 75 yards and decided that was close enough. My 9-year-old daughter has been hunting hard waiting on a buck that suits her. She opted out of hunting that afternoon to attend her cousin's scrimmage football game. Although I would have rather her shot the deer, this will probably be my best deer to date after he is scored. I am forever grateful for the opportunities the Lord has given me to harvest such great deer on our family land.
