Hunt Story
This buck was an absolute ghost! I’ve only been hunting for a couple of years now and was blown away when I first got him on camera. I had a few pictures here and there of him in the middle of the night but he never showed up during the day. He disappeared for about a month so I figured he was definitely shot on another property or hit by a car. He finally showed back up on 12/19 around 9:00 pm and knew I needed to be hunting him hard the next few days. Morning of 12/21 he showed up for the first time around 7:30 in a full sprint and I got him right as he jumped into the wood line. As a combat vet, I never thought I’d have that kind of adrenaline ever again but this buck definitely had me shaking! Never thought I’d shoot a decent buck, much less one in the 160s!!
