Hunt Story

I got in my stand at 6:30 am on Saturday morning of 10/31/2020, as I sit waiting for the sun to come up to where I could see, I scrolled Facebook to see what was going on from other hunters. When daylight came I noticed some doe on the power line on our private property. At 7:30 I noticed a small 4-point started chasing them and shortly after this 12-point appeared and also started chasing the doe. I tried grunting with a grunt call to get him to stop so I could place my shot, and that didn't work so I whistled and that didn't work. So then I tried yelping at him and he continued to chase he disappeared 3 or 4 times through out those times into the edge of the wood line. I just sat patiently till he come back into sight and he then was over 200 yards away when I ranged him. He was slowly walking back toward me to get back with the doe and started chasing again. He got 170 yards away and paused and I was already set up to shoot, I squeezed the trigger of my Savage 6.5 Creedmoor and he dropped in his tracks.
