Hunt Story

I got ready and headed to my stand about 4:45 p.m. A short walk later, I climbed into a double ladder on top of a ridge facing down the hill. I settled in and opened my backpack, took out my binos and put them around my neck. Got out a book and read about four and a half pages while looking around from time to time. Then I put the good book away and got on my phone to check Facebook (lol). When I heard some leaves crunch just a little bit, I looked up to see and to my surprise I was looking at a nice 10-point about 25 to 30 yards away. I set my phone down on my seat next to me and I hit my bino covers and it clicked just a little bit. He looked right at me. I just froze. He stared me down for what seemed to be about two minutes before he looked to his right. I raised my rifle up and made the shot, and then he spun around and took off. Waited about 10 minutes, then got down to look for blood. After about 70 to 80 yards of trailing, I found my deer.
