Hunt Story

It was the opening day of deer season when my dad and I climbed into the stand a few minutes before daylight. I had been watching a few bucks on a trail cam for a few weeks and knew I had to be selective in what I shot. At around 7:30 a.m., a small 7-point walked out. A few minutes later this deer followed. I took aim at the buck with the crossbow and let the arrow fly. I waited impatiently for about 30 minutes before we climbed down to search for my arrow. We found it covered in blood and knew it was a good shot. The deer only ran about 40 to 50 yards and there he laid.
