Hunt Story

Went out hunting on Christmas afternoon around 3:30 p.m. It was really windy and cold, but the wind died down quite a bit around 5:30, and the deer started moving. After passing a handful of does and shooting light fading fast, I heard something walking to my left. I turned my head and wouldn't you know it was the buck I had been hunting for several months 30 yards away traveling along the creek coming right in. I connected my release to the string on my bow and was at full draw in seconds. He came into around 20 yards and stopped. I settled the pin behind the shoulder and released the arrow. I could hear the arrow strike the buck but couldn't tell where it hit him. He ran 25 yards and bedded down. We gave the deer a around 45 minutes and came in and found him dead where he had bedded down. A friend scored the buck to be around 150 total inches.
