Hunt Story
This deer had been coming by my trail camera consistently for the prior week, but 30-45 minutes after shooting light. This afternoon the weather was a tad bit cooler than previous days, and I had hopes he may come by earlier. And wind direction was perfect for the stand. So I decided to hunt him. Around 6:30 PM deer activity began, with several young bucks then some does going by my stand. As it began to get close to dark, my target buck showed up unannounced, 20 yards from me and perfectly broadside. Luckily, things went like they are supposed to go, and with the help of two of my good friends, we had him in the bed of the truck soon after.
