Hunt Story
Just had a baby boy 2 weeks ago! My wife and I watched the deer on camera all summer long, so she agreed to let me go after him for the opener. He had been very regular on a 2-acre plot I had planted in Ocmulgee River Blend summer mix and had been feeding him some protein (Antler Extreme) in the same plot. He was very regular and seemed to claim this plot as his. He’d get there 10 minutes after dark and stay all night. I hung a portable back in June where I thought the deer was coming from about 75 yards from the plot and never went back and checked it again. I came in from a different direction that morning not to disturb the plot he was in. He read the script and gave me a 26-yard shot on his way back to bed. I spined him so he dropped in his tracks... wasn’t the best shot ever but made for a quick recovery!!!
