Hunt Story
On the afternoon of January the 7th, I was hunting on my food plot on my hunting lease in Heard County. I had pretty good deer movement in the stand that day and had already seen a doe and a smaller buck feed across the food plot. At 5:55 my buck stepped out into the food plot, and as soon as I had a clear shot he stopped broadside and I took my shot and the buck dropped in the tracks. I have watched this deer grow for two years on trail-camera pictures but have never had the opportunity to see him in person and have only ever had nighttime pictures of him. This is a buck of a lifetime for me. I am 53 years old and I have never had an opportunity to harvest a buck of this caliber.
