Hunt Story
I have tons of trail-cam pictures of this buck and several encounters but could never seal the deal on him till Tuesday evening. I took off work early and hurried to my club. I got settled in my stand around 4, and soon the does started easing thru the hardwoods into my shooting lane. They fed around in the bottom and worked there way all the way to the stand. A good buck eased out and headed up the lane feeding and scent checking the does. Finally my buck stepped out and started feeding. I put the crosshairs on him and let the .280 go. He dropped in his tracks. Thank you Lord! I gave him a few minutes and got down and went to him. The dragging began. It's been a great season.
