Hunt Story
Friday evening when I pulled in the gate there was a doe running down the club road with two bucks behind her. I usually hunt a mile farther into the property. I had a buddy with a climber in the area that he does not hunt, so I asked him if I could hunt it on my week of vacation. Sunday at lunch I cut some shooting lanes in the clearcut with a bush hog and tractor so I could see better. Most of the area we hunt was clearcut this summer. Every hunt I continued to see several bucks. On Monday evening right at dark this buck walked into the clearcut, and I was able to make a good shot on the deer. It ran about 40 yards toward the truck.
