Hunt Story
I was hunting a buck that my dad and I have seen a few times before chasing doe but I could never get a clean shot. My dad shot this buck a few weeks prior, but never found it and we were hopeful it was still alive. Sunday evening the 24th I saw the buck chasing doe, I couldn't get him to stop long enough to get a shot. The following morning around 7:00 A.M. he came back out from the top left of the field chasing doe. He then chased two doe down toward the right side of my stand. I opened the right window of my stand and the noise made the buck stop, however I still couldn't get a shot. He then crossed about 35 yards in front of my stand where my grandfather grunted him to a stop. I then took my shot and he ran about 10 yards with his head on the ground and finally the deer was ours!
