Hunt Story

The hunt for this deer truly began on Friday evening. The cameras have been slow all year. No shooters all year. I'm at the fair with my little girl, and my Moultrie Mobile app goes off. I check it, and here this deer is in shooting hours. Saturday, I decide to check a regular camera that is nearby because it usually has the most activity. And sure enough, here this deer is. He has been in there all week. And if the jawbone age comes back like I think it will, it is a deer that I have been after for 3 years. The last pictures I had of this deer were 360 days ago in this exact spot. Sunday morning, I watched several does and little bucks come in and out of the plot all morning. At 8:15 this deer appeared like a ghost at the bottom of the plot 180 yards out. I shot him with my Savage Stealth .308 using Hornady Superformance, and he ran 75 yards and fell right there. Unbelievable day...
