Hunt Story

It all started when I asked my good luck charm if she would join me for an afternoon hunt. My 4-year-old was so excited to go to the woods with her Mommy. On the way to the stand I asked her, "How many deer do you think we will see?" She said, "We are going to see five deer." We then settled into our stand and waited for about an hour and a half before we saw our first deer. My 4--year-old was so excited watching the deer as they passed by our stand. We ended up seeing four does before the "Magic Number 5" made an appearance into the food plot. I told my daughter to look as soon as I saw him step out. She put her hand on my shoulder and said, "Shoot it Mommy!" I knew as soon as he stepped out what caliber deer it was. I really didn't even have time to think because he literally took two steps and I shot him on the second step. I was so excited to shoot the biggest deer of my life, but more excited with the celebration between my daughter and I. As I pulled the rifle down, my four year old grabbed my head and kissed me then hugged me and said, "Mommy, I am so proud of you. Let's go get him!"
