Hunt Story
I got this buck on video two summers ago, and I haven't seen him since. I have a turnip food plot in a secondary thicket that we planted in August. It's an area with some spring heads and really wet soil, so while everything else died during the drought, this food plot made. With the acorns finally gone, I thought a buck might start using this plot late season. I went in two weeks ago and hunted it for the first time. This hunt was the second time I hunted this plot. He came in with another 10-point that was almost as big. I could have killed them both. The buck I killed was 5 1/2 years old and weighed 226 pounds.
