Hunt Story

I've been letting deer walk since my last buck three years ago, and the season is almost over so I thought that I was going to have to wait again, but my thoughts were changed while hunting with my dad Saturday afternoon! We still had hopes for a good buck or even a coyote but were glad to be getting our outside on. About two hours into our hunt we had a few doe and yearlings come out feeding around. We watched them for about 30 minutes, and then we heard a grunt in the pines. Shortly after he came out with four other doe and was pushing them around. I got buck fever and my dad was trying to coach me down with my breathing, and then he finally got broadsided and gave me the opportunity to take a shot and he dropped in his tracks! Thank The Lord! I'm thankful and blessed to spend time with my dad outdoors and to take another nice buck!
