Hunt Story

My dad and I had just gotten back from lunch, and I tried to rest although I knew I had to move my climber. The morning hunt was good. I had seen 5 deer although I just didn’t like where I was setup at. So I go and get the climber off the tree and head to the back of the property. I notice movement, and I just stay still. A doe and two fawns come out and walk within 20 feet of me. The doe realized something wasn’t right. She blew and off they go. I’m thinking I have ruined my chances for the afternoon. I finally get to a place I want to put my stand and I was sweating, so I thought I would just climb up and not see anything. I get settled and hit the grunt call a few times and settle down, not 30 minutes later this deer comes out from behind me and I made a perfect shot.
