Hunt Story
I have had this deer on camera for the past two seasons multiple times. I finally got the right wind and pressure to go in and give it a shot. The deer was standing at 19 yards grunting and sparring with another buck when I took the shot. I never saw if the arrow hit the deer because of how many limbs there were. I got down to look for blood and the arrow and didn't find neither. I was almost certain I had missed the shot, but I made a gut decision to call in dogs just to make sure. Turns out I didn't miss, and the deer didn't run but 70 yards (still never had a blood trail). Apparently the deer spun as I shot and the arrow stuck into the back hip. Needless to say I was very thankful for great dogs and great friends to help me recover this deer.
