Hunt Story
We’ve hunted this buck for at least 3 years. This year he became patternable, but opening day I had marginal wind and extremely hot weather. I used cover scent to try to minimize my scent and it paid off when the bachelor group of bucks came by. He gave me a 41-yard shot right before all the deer spooked. I made a lethal shot which made him easy to find but tough to get him back to the truck due to the terrain!!
