Hunt Story
It all started on a Saturday evening at 4:45 p.m. Me and my mom went to my grandmother's box. My mom and I went down the hill to get to the stand, I told my mom to wait here and let me peek around the corner, and I saw nothing at first. We got in the stand and I got my 2-43 rifle and looked out and saw two does in the woods eating. We let them come out and let them eat at the feeder. They were there until 5:35, and then my mom said quietly "horns." I looked out and saw huge horns. I was shaking terribly, and she said make a good shot, so I did. He jumped almost 5 feet in the air and ran as fast as he could. He was running and ran in the woods and hooked to a small tree and died right there. We called my dad and said I just got a big 9-pointer. We went and got my dad. Then we loaded the deer in my mom's car and drove back to camp as one happy family.
