Hunt Story
Case is 11 years old, and despite spending many hours in the woods, he had never harvested a deer before. All that changed Saturday. Case saw a doe come in behind us just after 8 a.m., but the doe spooked and ran away. About a minute later we saw the buck, nose down, following the trail that the doe had come in on behind us. Case wasn't able to get a good shot behind us, and the buck moved out of sight. Dad hit an estrus bleat twice, and the buck ran back to us, right to the stand, then slowly walked 10 yards in front of us where Case made a perfect shot; 18-inch wide outside spread, estimated at 200 pounds live weight, broken brows, but a 2-inch kicker off the back near the base BEST MEMORY EVER! So blessed by God to be with my son on this hunt.
