Hunt Story
After a long afternoon sit, I caught movement at approximately 5:00 PM to my left. As I continue to wait to see exactly what type of deer it was, time started slipping by and it started getting darker in the woods. At approximately 5:10, the buck stepped out and gave me a very narrow window quartering away, but I was able to ascertain that the buck with suitable. He then turned a little more quartering away and then back again which gave me quite the anxiety that time was running out and I was gonna lose the deer. And then he turned back to his original position and I took the shot. The deer ran approximately 20 yards and crashed out. It was such a quartering-away shot that a gentleman at the processor asked me what type of broadhead are used, he was very shocked to learn that it was a rifle shot.
