Hunt Story
Feeling Thankful! I received a picture of one heck of a deer the day before my hunt from a buddy of mine. His picture was from November 14th, which was four days before our hunt. My buddy and I hunted together on the morning of November 18th. He was in a ladder stand and I was in a "Pea Patch" food plot. I saw some does before and let them go. Then I saw another doe headed my way. Behind her, I saw a tree shaking that caught my attention. I started focusing on that area. Then I saw him! He was following approximately 10 yards behind her. My buddy, Larry, saw him cross his shooting lane and make a scrape, but he could not tell if it was him. He knew he was headed my way, so his fingers were crossed. The buck walked out into the food plot right behind the doe at 40 yards. I let him have it! It has been a wonderful season. I am so thankful! Biggest Bow Buck to date! Pope and Young!
