Hunt Story
After seeing numerous bucks on their feet all morning, I decided to hunt the same area for the evening. I settled in fairly early and a doe made her way into the food plot right after settling in. She stayed for a while and went off into the bedding area. Just before dark I noticed another doe making her way through the hardwoods that border the bedding area and thought it was a bit odd for her to be by herself this time of year. Approximately 5 minutes later this deer, which I had seen four times already in the past week, came walking the same trail she was on. After positively identifying him as the "Brow Tine" buck, I made a clean shot and he went 30 yards and piled up. This buck has a long history on our farm as I have four years worth of game camera photos of him starting at 2.5 years of age all the up until just a few days ago.
