Hunt Story
I took my son hunting in an area where I had a couple of good bucks on trail cam. We were only in the stand for approximately a half hour, when a doe, followed by a small 6-point and this buck, came out. These bucks were not chasing the doe, but continued to follow her wherever she went. The doe finally stopped walking and began feeding. When she stopped, the small buck continued walking off, but this buck stopped and began feeding beside the doe. Luckily, my son had plenty of time to make a good shot and drop the buck in his tracks. It took him quite a while to calm down and stop shaking after the shot, and he just about knocked me down with a hug after we walked over and looked at this great buck that he had just taken.
