Hunt Story
My father and I went on a morning hunt on our land in Tift County. We were sitting in a two-man ladder stand together in pine trees and hardwood mix. At 6:50 a.m. we spotted a buck walking over the hillside behind us, and then lost sight of him as he went into some thick brush. We then spotted the deer once again when he exited the thick stuff and estimated him to be standing around 180 yards. The deer was walking briskly, and my father stopped him by yelling at him. Once the deer stopped, I shot and the deer kicked like he was hit. We waited for about 10 minutes and then walked over to where I had shot the deer. We found him about 50 yards from where I shot him initially.
