Hunt Story
It was a Saturday morning and it was cold. My Dad said the deer would be moving because of the fog and the cold. After getting in my tree stand, my Dad started rattling deer horns. My deer stand was facing the food plot, and after 15 minutes of deer antler rattling, I saw a doe run across the field and a 6-point buck behind her. After a few minutes I saw the 8-point buck about 140 yards away from me. I waited until he turned boardside. Looked through my scope, I pulled the hammer back and pulled the trigger and shot the buck in the spine. The deer drop where he stood. This is the biggest deer I have killed! I almost did not get up to go hunting that Saturday morning—I am glad I changed my mind. Mason Engle
