I got to my stand right before daybreak...about 6:10 a.m. It has been so hot that my husband and I decided on a early morning hunt before church. I had hunted with my husband and son the evening after Hurricane Irma passed through and actually saw two nice bucks that afternoon. This morning was a quiet cool morning. The buck came walking straight in front of me. He stopped to eat a couple of times. I had him in my scope and when he stopped the second time and looked up; I shot him with a CarbonExpress Crossbow shooting a carbon express mayhem arrow tip with a muzzy 125-grain fixed broadhead at 20 yards in the neck.
