Hunt Story

On Friday, October 21st, I got into my stand about 30 minutes before daylight, overlooking a grassy field transitioning from a feeding area to a bedding area. At about 10 minutes after daylight, I spotted this buck and another smaller buck coming across the field toward me. I took the shot at the larger buck at about 80 yards, and through the smoke of the muzzleloader I watched him drop. After waiting about 10 minutes, I climbed down to recover the deer and give thanks to God for a successful hunt.
