Hunt Story

On September 29, 2016 at 8:15 a.m. while hunting the B.F. Grant third archery hunt, this buck walked within 20 yards of me. At first I did not think he was legal to shoot because I only had a side view of his rack. The buck then turned and walked directly toward me and stopped within 5 yards of my tree stand. He looked straight up at me, it was then when I realized he was definitely a shooter. The buck realized something wasn't right and turned to run. When he turned, I was able to make my shot. After my shot he ran about 200 feet and fell over. This buck is a 10-pointer but has four sticker points at the base on the left beam, three of them are a half inch long, and the 4th is a inch and a half long. This buck was killed out of the very same pine tree where I shot my last B.F. Grant buck in 2010 which scored 139 1/8.
