Hunt Story
I decided to hunt this stand at the last minute. It is a place I grew up hunting on. The buck came cruising by at about 5:45 pm. I spotted him in the clearcut but quickly lost sight of him for about 15 minutes. I knew he was a shooter buck, and I started to get nervous I might not see him again. Luckily, I spotted him closer to me than he was when I first saw him. He was slightly angled toward me, and I thought I made a good shot. I went and got my kids and wife to help me track him. Within a few minutes of looking for a blood trail, we jumped him up. I decided to back out and wait till daylight to try and recover him. Me and my brother in law found him about 60 yards from where we first jumped him up.
