Hunt Story
My daughter and I have seen this buck several times this season. On Christmas Day afternoon he came out into the food plot just before dark. My husband was hunting with me and was glassing the plot with his binoculars. As soon as he came out, my husband told me to get the gun on him. Just as I was about to shoot, a larger buck came out behind him and my husband whispered for me to switch to the larger buck. He never presented a perfect shot so I decided to pass them both up in hopes I could have another chance at the larger buck at another time. On the afternoon of the 28th, this buck came back out and presented the perfect shot. I decided to take him since there are only a few days left in the season.
