Hunt Story
On Saturday evening, 11/26/22, I snuck into a tower stand overlooking an older clearcut that we keep strips mowed in. Before my butt even hit the seat I saw the first deer. This buck was the 11th deer I had seen. He stepped out at around 200 yards and browsed for about 10 minutes. Eventually a doe caught his attention, and he came grunting and running with his nose to the ground to close that gap to around 125 yards. I shot him as he was following the doe into the wood line. I had my wife and two young daughters out to celebrate the recovery!
