Hunt Story
Hunting with Dad on our 2 acre plot. Watching several does and young bucks on the plot when we saw the 8-point coming out. He made a scrape at edge of plot, then came out to feed. I waited for a broadside shot, then took it. The buck fell over, then ran off. We never heard him crash, and never found any blood, but I just happened to stumble across him in some thick sweetgum saplings about 50 yards from where I shot him. We aged him at 4.5 years old. He weighed 205 pounds live weight.
