I had noticed a couple of does feeding on acorns at the edge of a wooded area. This buck walked out of the woods and started feeding also. I watched him for a while before I took the shot. The 8-pointer ran a short distance with no blood trail. When I discovered him he had a tine caught around a small sapling. The tip on one tine was broken off.
