Hunt Story
We were able to watch this deer all summer as he was frequent in a 3- to 4-acre food plot. We moved cameras around this fall and finally found the exact trail he entered the field around 7 pm and would leave the field every morning right at daybreak. We have a tower stand 200 yards from the trail and we practiced a 200-yard shot this summer so that he could make the shot. The deer start early in this particular plot as they normally start easing out 2 hours before dark so we had to get in early afternoon. On the Oct 15 afternoon (on his first hunt this year) just like every other afternoon, the deer appeared at 7 pm and Bennett made a great shot at 220 yards. His Uncle Eric sat in the stand with him in the stand and coached him as I took my nephew to try and get his first deer. The deer ran and 150 yards and ended a summer-long watch.
