Clarks Hill Fishing Report – September 2022

GON Staff | August 25, 2022

Clarks Hill: Level: 3.3 feet below 330. Temp: 84 degrees. Clarity: The water is clear on the main lake and bigger creeks with some stain up the rivers.

Bass: Tournament angler Trad Whaley reports, “September is to me one of the tougher months to pattern fish. They are following bait and are in the summer-fall transition. This time of year it’s better sometimes just to hunt and peck, fishing obvious cover with your favorite moving baits. As always, there’s a main-lake brushpile bite in the cleaner water. Toward the end of the month, start looking for the bait moving back in the creeks, which should bring the bass in also. Confidence is key.”
