Hunt Story
I have had several pictures of this deer all at night. With the temperatures dropping and deer starting the chase, I decided after dropping my children off to the bus that I would go spend some time in the woods. I snuck in the woods an hour after daylight and got my camera card and put out some estrus scent on my way into my stand. After easing up the ladder I decided to hit my grunt a few times before looking at pictures. My biggest buck to date decided that he wasn’t gonna let me finish looking at pictures of him, and it was time for our first face to face. He came in with his nose in the air and ears pinned back. I knew right away he was the buck I wanted. He quickly presented me with a broadside shot which was placed perfectly. He ran just out of sight into a thicket and crashed over.
