Hunt Story
I WAS HUNTING OVER A FOOD PLOT. I WAS IN A TRIPOD STAND AND HAD BEEN HUNTING FOR SEVERAL DAYS AND WAS A LITTLE TIRED AND WAS DOSING IN AND OUT. WHEN I LOOKED UP I SAW THIS BIG BUCK STANDING BROADSIDE AT THE END OF THE FOOD PLOT AT 110 YARDS I RAISED MY RIFLE AND HOOKED A TREE BRANCH, ALL I COULD SEE WAS A LEAF COVERING MY SCOPE. I BEGAN SHAKING MY GUN TO GET THE BRANCH LOOSE WHICH ALERTED THE DEER HE THREW HIS HEAD UP AND I SHOOT AND HE FELL WHERE HE STOOD. WHEN I LOOKED TO SEE IF HE WAS GOING TO GET UP, I COULD SEE HIS HORN STICKING UP FROM THAT DISTANCE WITH THE NAKED EYE I KNEW I HAD SOMETHING. I GOT DOWN OUT OF THE STAND AND WALKED OVER TO THE BUCK I WAS OVERCOME WITH JOY. I LOOKED UP TO THE HEAVENS AND THANKED THE GOOD LORD FOR MY GOOD FORTUNE.
