Hunt Story
I had been hunting this buck since bow season and had seen him a couple times. Saturday night he came into the food plot close to dark with a doe. I did not have an opportunity for a shot and eased out at dark hoping he would not leave the area through the night. Sunday morning I got into the stand before daylight. After sunrise, I saw a doe come out of the planted pines with the buck on her trail. He chased her out to about 300 yards, I thought my opportunity was gone. Then, the doe circled back and ran towards me to about 100 yards and disappeared into the pines. The buck closed the distance and stopped just before leaving the food plot to find his doe. I took my shot and was finally able to put my hands on him.
