Hunt Story
I went hunting after school with my dad on some of his friends property in Cook County that he has been hunting on and off for many years. We got there about an hour or so before dark and my dad asked what stand did I want to hunt, and I said the good spot where the climber was. So he went to a lean up stand around on the other side of the planted pines. About 30 minutes later I saw a small 5-point buck cross over the road, and I let him walk on by, then I started to hear my dad start grunting with his call several times. Then I just happened to looked back behind me the way that I walked, in and this buck was just standing there looking back toward where my dad's stand was, I guess listening to my dad grunting, so I was able to get around on the buck and made a good shot. Thanks dad for scaring that buck over to me 🙂
