Hunt Story
Mid November is always pretty special on the lil farm I hunt, so I planned a rut vacation. Once it was locked in I felt the Lord nudge me to put him first and go teach a Monday morning bible study at one of my best friend's company meetings. I argued and pouted a little bit, but I knew it’s what I was supposed to do, so I went. So first morning of rutcation I was in a conference room instead of deer stand... Well that afternoon I got in tree early and laid a trap with scent wicks and estrous. At 15 minutes before sundown the one I’ve been after walks out presents a shot. I take it!!!! After a short recovery on adjacent property (with permission) I had my hands around the almost 6-inch bases of my best buck ever!!!! Thank you Lord for my Bible study / rut vacation buck.... And Thank you for your faithfulness!!!!
