Hunt Story
I took off work the entire week to hunt, knowing there was a pretty good chance of seeing a good buck on its feet. Bucks had been moving most of the week, but I had not seen one that I wanted to take. On the morning I killed this deer, I saw several others bucks cruising through the area. Just shortly after 10 a.m., a button buck came through and walked down an old road bed in front of me. I was watching the button buck on and off through my binoculars when I noticed a big body deer step out about 100 yards down the road bed. I threw the binoculars back and and saw this buck starting straight at me. Was able to ease the rifle up, get on him, and make a good shot. Sure am blessed to be able to enjoy the great outdoors in our state.
