Hunt Story
Barrett had passed up 11 smaller bucks over the past few weeks on this property waiting a big buck we had trail camera photos of for last 2 years. Earlier that morning, we had sat until 10 a.m. but only seen one small buck and 6 does. That afternoon it was hot in the 80\'s and we weren\'t expecting to see deer early. We grunted a few times and within a few minutes several does and a small buck showed. at 5:50 p.m.. Around 6 p.m., another deer started approaching. It took only one look to know it was the buck Barrett had been waiting on. Once the buck stopped, Barrett placed a great shot at 50 yards with his 7mm-08 and the buck crashed within 75 yards. Barrett had been patient passing up some nice bucks and rewarded with a nice 12-point.
