Hunt Story
I first captured pictures of this buck over the summer. We named him “Captain Hook” due to the double split brow tine which formed a hook. I never captured daylight photos of this buck until last Wednesday morning. And that was a long distance photo from the camera, but it was no doubt him. Opening morning I decided to hunt this stand in hopes of getting a shot at hit. After daylight, a 3 1/2-year-old 8-pointer stepped in the plot and fed for 30 minutes. When he left, I looked up to see Captain Hook appear like a ghost 75 yards in the plot. One shot and he dropped in his tracks
