Tournament Reports February 2017

Anglers were itching to get the 2017 fishing season going as 122 teams showed up to compete at Lake Sinclair on Jan. 28 for the Berry’s tournament. First place went to Keith Young, of Statham, and John White, of Flowery Branch, with a 21.85-lb. limit that earned them $3,600.

Placing second and winning $1,800 was Van Dillard and Justin Still with 19.82 pounds. Third place and Big Fish honors went to the team of Shane Stokes and Brian Wilder. They earned $1,125 with a 19.76-lb. third-place sack that was anchored by Brian’s 7.32-lb. largemouth. Big Fish paid $1,220. Danny White and Mike Blackshear placed fourth with 19.07 pounds.

Neil Stillwell and Don Duke won the Jan. 14 Fishers of Men tournament on Lake Eufaula with 18.93 pounds.
