FCA Outdoors will host their first-ever Virtual Bass Tournament May 26-28. All private and public waters will be eligible for competition, and competing anglers must enter all fish through their cell phones using the free HOOK’D App
“We understand that not everyone will have access to the biggest fish; so every night there will be a live meeting with a raffle prize. Everyone who submits a fish each day, of any size, will be entered into the drawing that night,” said Paul Dennis, FCA Outdoors Director.
Anglers will compete in one of four divisions: Adult, High School, Middle School and Elementary. First and second place, based on total length in inches, along with a big fish, will be awarded for each division. Anglers can catch and enter as many bass as they wish, but only the longest five bass will be counted for the competition, and smallmouth, spotted and largemouth bass will be accepted.
“Make sure to obtain your own qualified Bump Board, Golden Rule or Hog Trough type measure. These can be easily obtained at sporting goods stores or Amazon or Walmart,” said Paul.
“Each registrant will need their own email address, and registrants under the age of 13 will need an adult to run their account.”
Bassmaster Elite Pro Micah Frazier will be giving bass fishing tips on Monday, May 25, before opening day. This will be at 6 p.m. through a webinar.
On May 26 and May 27 there will be Facebook Live updates and prize drawings from the FCA Outdoors’ Facebook Page. You must be listening live to win.
Major League Fishing Pro Randy Howell will be participating in the live awards ceremony at 7:30 p.m. on May 28.
Special directions on how to use the HOOK’D App appear on the FCA Outdoors website.
Cost is just $15 per angler, and prizes will include an Otterbox 65 QT cooler in Realtree camouflage, a Prym1 Camo package, Bass Pro gift cards and more!
