Clarks Hill Fishing Report – April 2020
GON Staff | March 27, 2020
Clarks Hill: Level: 0.2 feet above full pool. Temp: Mid 60s to 70. Clarity: Water is now clear enough that you can sight fish for bedded bass.
Bass: Tournament angler Josh Rockefeller reports, “The lake is fishing well. Bass have headed to the bank, and there are fish spawning pretty much all over the lake. A floating worm is working best to catch the fish that are aggressive and/or guarding fry. Frogs and other topwaters are getting bites. Fish are also out on the points, and some are beginning to school in the right places. Flukes and jerkbaits are getting these fish to bite and can produce a lot of fish with good ones mixed in. It’s the time to be on Clarks Hill because you can pretty much catch fish on anything you want to throw, and it’s only going to get better going into April.”
