Hunt Story

After scaring deer off walking to first stand of choice, I decided to turn back and get my climber and head into a pine stand with some mixed hardwoods that always has good sign during late November early December. I just barley made it to top of pine tree and a spike walked out underneath me and bigger buck was headed my way about 80 yards out. After having stare down with spike, I eased my bow up with pull rope and slipped my release on and shot bigger buck at 44 yards after he had already walked by at 20 yards. I managed to get one in him as he was walking away. Thought I made marginal shot, so I waited 3 1/2 hours before getting down and he was only made it about 120 yards.
